Montenegro and Armenia face off in this crucial UEFA Nations League (UNL) encounter, with the hosts potentially able to confirm their promotion from Group C2 with two games to spare if they win here.

Match News and Current Form

Montenegro continued their perfect start to life in the UNL’s third tier this season with their win over Latvia on Friday meaning they've managed single-goal victories against all three of their opponents so far, putting them in pole position for an immediate return to League B. The Brave Falcons still need to improve defensively though as they seek a first clean sheet at the fourth attempt in the group after falling behind against Cyprus and twice being pegged back by Armenia. Two of their three winning goals in that time came beyond the 85th minute, which could indicate yet another tense affair here as Montenegro seek a fourth straight international victory for the first time since 2013.

Armenia’s automatic promotion hopes will only certainly remain in their own hands with victory in Podgorica after they fell to a second consecutive defeat on Friday against ten-man Cyprus. Another loss coupled with a Cyprus win would leave them four points adrift of second place with two to play, which would likely see them staring at a third straight season in League C. Almost overcoming their outsider status when drawing with Montenegro until the 89th minute on matchday two, they face even longer odds of success here as they seek to improve on a torrid run of seven away internationals without a victory (D1, L6).

Head-to-Head History

Montenegro’s 3-2 reverse-fixture victory levelled up the all-time H2H record (W2, D1, L2), as they now have the chance to win back-to-back meetings with Armenia for the first time.

Hot Stats and Streaks

Seven of Montenegro’s last eight victories were by a single-goal margin.

Five of Montenegro’s last six matches saw both teams score.

Armenia scored in both halves in two of their three 2026/27 UNL games.

Armenia have not kept a clean sheet in 26 away matches since September 2021.

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

Vasilije Adžić found the net either side of half-time to secure Montenegro’s 2-1 win over Latvia on Friday, complementing his run of three consecutive scoring games for Sassuolo before this international window. Artur Serobyan got Armenia’s opener in the reverse fixture to equalise before the break, but he also received his third yellow card in his last four appearances for club or country in that encounter.

Montenegro seemingly have no fresh absentees following their previous game, while Armenia’s Artem Bandikyan went off injured against Cyprus.

Betting Analysis

Montenegro's attacking threat until the death has been crucial so far this campaign, so backing them to continue their march to League B with a win and both teams to score could prove a shrewd selection.
