Fresh from an eye-catching victory last time out, Parma are chasing back-to-back H2H wins over Bologna in Serie A for just the third time ever, but the visitors come into the Derby dell’Emilia in strong form.

Match News and Current Form

Parma will hope a corner has been turned with Monday’s sensational 3-0 thrashing of Atalanta, which ultimately moved them out of the Serie A relegation zone. Following on from a goalless draw with Udinese, the Crusaders are now unbeaten in two league matches for the first time this season, while they could now keep three successive top-flight clean sheets for the first time since February 2014 here. That may be Parma’s only route to a positive result as they’ve failed to score in their last two home matches and have won just one of their last six in all competitions at Stadio Ennio Tardini (D2, L3).

Bologna come into the round as one of just three sides to have won each of their last three Serie A matches, the latest of which saw them come from behind to beat newly-promoted Monza 2-1 on Saturday. Only surprise table-toppers Lazio (18) enter the weekend having earned more points than the Rossoblù since Raffaele Palladino was appointed (13, W4, D1, L1), and there looks to be no stopping their charge on the road. Bologna have picked up a club-record ten top-flight away wins this calendar year, a tally bettered only by Como (11) among Serie A sides in 2026.

Head-to-Head History

Parma’s two victories from the last three Serie A H2Hs (L1) are as many as they managed across the 16 prior meetings in the top-flight (D9, L5). Bologna were 3-1 winners in last season’s corresponding fixture and have lost just one of their last seven Serie A visits to the Tardini (W3, D3).

Key Players to Watch and Missing Players

Former Bologna man Giovanni Fabbian opened his Parma account last time out with the ninth of his 11 goals in Serie A to arrive after the 40th minute. Federico Bernardeschi searches for a first-ever goal against Parma (W6, D1, L1) but could be kept waiting with eight of his 12 Bologna strikes coming after half-time.

Dominik Drobnič was forced off injured at half-time in Parma’s last game, which Adrián Bernabé sat out altogether. Bologna look to have no fresh issues.

Betting Analysis

It’s hard to look past the visitors here, and with Parma fairly blunt in attack at home, Bologna to win to nil looks the best option here.
